For now
For now
February 18th:
On the 18th, Mr. Vetter, Adam P, Josh Breton, and I started building shelves on the Greenhouse. To start out, we drew out a diagram with all of the measurements and everything on it. I feel like making plans before building is the best way to construct something. If you don't have a plan, the chances are high that a mistake may be made. We made sure to carefully place the base of the shelf

February 19th and 20th
The next day, the base of the shelves were done and other people were putting in planks of wood to complete them. Josh Breton and I started putting in the holders for the window panes. What we had to do for this was measure out the exact width between the supports(Look at the picture underneath) and cut a small piece of wood that size. This was challenging because if the wood was even 1/8 -1/16 of an inch too big or small, it would not fit in the area we needed it in. We had to do about 50 of these wooden cuts at all different lengths. Due to the large amount of wood we needed to cut, we slowly but surely got a lot better and more efficient. Josh and I really worked as a team. We tried to switch roles at a point and realized how challenging the other persons job was. I greatly respect his wood cutting skills and I am sure he respects my exact measurement skills.

February 21st and 24th
On these days, Josh took the pieces that we cut out and along with Xavier and Jasper, we hammered them into place. This means we were one step closer into the process of finishing off the greenhouse. As well as doing this, I also worked with a few students to clean up the shed area. There were pieces of wood lying everywhere unorganized and out of place. Underneath this weeks post, you will see a before and after picture of a bamboo pile. Also, we took things behind the shed and re-organized it so it was out of the view of people

February 25th:
On this day, I re-organized the bamboo behind the bench so it was out of the way of the workers.(before and after pictures below) I also took a bottle of the organic spicy pepper spray and sprayed it on the plants. We use this spicy spray so that the rabbits will be deterred from eating the plants. Previously that was a big problem for us and hopefully, it proves as a resolution of the problem. I finished off the small potted plants and the two big planter boxes. We also installed fences around the planter boxes to stop the rabbits.
