The Installation Art Project
For the Installation Art project, we worked in a large group to create an installation piece to fit a certain space. These groups were made of about 8 people that were also working with us on a humanities project. During this project, my group (named Hufflepuff) created a sectional bench to fit in the corner of the school. To begin, I created a 3D model of the bench using Fusion AutoDesk360. This 3D model went through multiple drafts after being critiqued by Mrs. Shani, our peers, and the engineering teacher Mike. Using this feedback, we were able to create a solid design.
From there, my group and I were able to cut all the wood pieces, stain them with multiple layers, and bolt them all together without too much trouble. In this part of the project, teamwork was vital. Without all of the group mates working together, it would have taken an extremely long time do to it all. Luckily my team was very helpful especially with the wood stain. In the end, I am very happy with how it worked out
Currently this product sits inside the art room offering an additional place to sit.
