Exhibition Reflection
The greatest strength of my exhibition project was that it demonstrated a well known occurrence in our oceans and directly showed the harms of the problem. This had a greater impact than just telling the audience random facts and numbers.
Through the process of creating the exhibition project, I learned many new things including how to visualize and present physical change in objects. This was presented in ways that varied from a stop motion video to a before and after shot as well as the two physical substances to compare.
If I could have improved something about my exhibition project, I would have improved a small detail on the physical props we had. In order to demonstrate the remaining chitin of the mussel, I wish to have had kept it in the vinegar closer to the time to exhibition. That way you the audience would be able to feel the soggy reminisce of the mussel instead of it being dried out like it was on exhibition night for us.
