Cashee Reflection
Part 1: CAHSEE
What areas did you feel you did well on?
I feel as if I was particularly strong on the algebra portions of the CASHEE. I was able to do these problems quickly, and after checking them over a few times I am pretty confident I got them right.
What areas did you feel you need to improve on?
Something I need to improve on is the time I use on each problem. I know this may not be a problem with the CASHEE due to the easy problems and the unlimited time, but when I come to the SAT, there will be harder problems and I will need to be able to get them done a lot faster
What strategies did you use when you came to an unfamiliar problem?
When I come to unfamiliar problem that I do not get, I usually try not to spend too much time on it and come back to it later. Once I come back I will try and solve the problem. If this does not work, I try and see how it may be similar to other problems I have completed recently. If I absolutely have no clue what to do, I try and eliminate some answers that I am almost positive it isn't. This way, I get more than a 50/50 chance guessing.
What habits of mathematician did you use and how? (At least one)
A habit of a mathematician I used was definitely be confident, patient and persistent. On a 4 hour test, this one is definitely important to follow. I was able to stay focused through the whole test and not get distracted. When I saw a problem I may not get, I do not get discouraged and instead work through it.

When do you plan to take it?
I plan on taking my SAT either towards the end of Sophomore year, or beginning of Junior year. I will take it 3 times or until I am completely satisfied with my score
What steps will you take to prepare yourself for the ACT/SAT?
In order to prepare myself for the SAT/ACT I have gotten books that I need to study to make sure I am ready.
